do I have to change the parameters of the drum to get a shift in pitch (like a scale) from center to edge? I can do it in battery, but I'm only able to get 3-4 notes.

Yes thats what I have. I think I'll be ok with a version of software for my new piece of gear. I shouldn't have to change anything. Thanks. More questions (and drums) to come

Well it turns out I may have to switch Macs, actually. I will get any OS thats required but I'm just trying to head off any problems I might have. Asking if any one knows offhand if Mandala/Battery combo won't work with any particular Mac OS
