Re: The Forum is Up and Running
Testing is going very well with the newest V3 units as we ramp up to having all aspects ready for a limited production run. Expect some video clips of great drummers taking the pad for a spin soon. We're having a blast and learning a lot by seeing and hearing how each player's style projects onto an...

The Forum is Up and Running
As we approach Mandala Drum V3 becoming available the old Mandala forums have been restored. There will be a new Mandala website coming into existence with the V3 but these forums will remain in place, including one for the V3, and eventually Pipes when it is made widely available. Regarding previou...

Re: Virtual Brain not recognizing Mandala Drums
Like it says in the post above, unplug your pads and highlight and delete their icons in the MIDI window of Audio MIDI Setup. Then plug them back in and they'll both register as MandalaDrum instead of USB MIDI Device. Assign those two pads to Pad 1 and Pad 2 in File>Audio/Pad Driver in the VB progra...

Re: Success of Mandala
Things are moving along very well with the Mandalas at Synesthesia. The mk2.9 is the 3rd version of the pad to be released over the years after the original prototype models were built for Danny Carey of Tool. We have recruited a few of the more active members of this forum who are also avid Mandala...

Re: 2 zones at same time?
The surface of the Mandala is analog, so as long as you do even the slightest flam it will be like hitting 2 zones at once (even a couple thousandths of a second is enough), but hitting 2 zones at the exact same instant will just trigger one of them.

Re: Full Mandala Kit
Programs such as Battery 3 are very straightforward as long as the user is familiar with MIDI. Each 'cell' in Battery is assigned a 'zone' on a Mandala, just as you would with the keys of a MIDI keyboard. Zones are like keys. Then you drag and drop samples onto the cells to build your kit. You can s...

Re: Full Mandala Kit
Hello and thank you for your questions. Here is some info for you which hopefully will help... Latency should never be an issue. That will be a function of your computer and what driver and interface you are using. Always use an ASIO driver if you are Windows. With Mandalas you can get as low as 4ms...
