Re: issue when recording

What Sample Rate do you have set in the VB Audio/Pad Driver window? The safest approach to keeping the samples at their original rate would be to set that to 44100 and to make sure ProTools is set to 44100 as well.

Re: Battery 3 Not Triggering Mandala Pads

If those little musical notes are lighting up then there is MIDI getting to Battery from the Mandala. Try pressing and holding the zone on the Mandala. That would be the same as pressing and holding a key on a MIDI keyboard. Mandalas output from C3-F3 as MIDI notes so it's definitely one of those no...

Re: Battery 3 Not Triggering Mandala Pads

If you don't see the little musical notes lighting up white at the top of the Battery window when you strike the center of the Mandala then you should open the Virtual Brain program and check the zones triggering there. You might have to do a File>Preferences>Center Calibration in the Virtual Brain.

Re: Newb questions about VBS and Mandala pads

Sounds good. I'd recommend Battery instead of the Virtual Brain though because the VB only handles 3 pads. Danny Carey controls Battery with 7 Mandalas and an eKick pedal and an eHat pedal. You'd be doing something similar to that. You could even send MIDI from your cymbal brain to your computer and...

Re: asio4all output channel problem

From inside the Audio/Pad Driver window of the VB3 click on the Audio Driver Setup button and that will open up the control panel for ASIO4ALL. Then look in the WDM Device List in there and toggle the on/off button next to the "Outs" and it should take back your computer's audio outputs fo...

Re: V.2 pads with battery 4

The old v2 pads output any MIDI config that you want. Control Burst will flash the pad to a set configuration: from C3 in Zone 1 to F#3 Zone 7 with Position Controller=3 and Velocity Controller=2. You choose the MIDI channel. Control Burst EXP is more flexible and lets you assign any notes and chann...

Re: problem with synapse

The kick pad will only trigger the VB if you set up the VB correctly. Here's an example: In VB File>Audio/Pad Driver you need to set PAD 3 pulldown menu to "Mandala Synapse". Then your Synapse pedals are what controls Pad 3 in the VB. Pad 3 would be like your own sample playback machine wi...

Re: Synapse and samples

Okay since you are talking about the old software you can take the same approach I wrote above by doing the following: Instead of the 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 keys to trigger the zones you can just mouse-click in the rectangular boxes that have the titles for each zone "ZONE 1", "ZONE 2",...

Re: Synapse and samples

Your issue isn't related to the Synapse so you need to work it out before bringing the Synapse into play. To understand what's going on just assign one of your user sounds to Zone 1 ("Center") of the VB software then press the "1" key on your computer keyboard to hear the sample ...
