Wondering if anyone else has experienced any issues with the black beauty app... I remember it not working well when I purchased my first mk2.9 in Fall 2010. I just reinstalled it on a brand new Retina MBPRo and am having the same issues. I have 16gigs of RAM so I know that is not the issue.

It's totally doable. TouchOSC is my preference as they offer a free editor app to create your own custom layouts. The midipad app looks great, but does not appear to be editable. That being said, it may be worth chckingout as it may be exactly what you need. TouchOSC comes with a nice layout ...
