Re: Bought a Mandala V2 on ebay and I think it's broken...HE
Since you're using a V2 you should center calibrate it with the old Virtual Brain software. That's probably what's going on.

Re: CPU Load
Increase your Signal Vector Size in the Audio/Pad Driver window, and make sure your Buffer size isn't set too low in there either .

Re: Possible to use the V1 trigger pad without Brain hardwar
I've connected mine to a Roland module and it triggers like one of their pads but the Roland module doesn't detect the position information from the Mandala so it becomes just a velocity pad like one of theirs.

Re: Mandala 2.9 quite insensitive
That's good that you got it a lot better. The velocity curves you set in the VB software are only for the software, not the pad. Most programs let you set velocity curves though. I use NI Battery and in there you can set a different curve for every cell that gets triggered. You might be able to do s...

Re: Mandala 2.9 quite insensitive
Have you tried assigning different velocity curves to your Mid-Out and Edge zones? You can do that under the Shape tab of those zones in the VB program. You can even draw your own curve on the Tools page and save it and assign it. Other programs usually have velocity curve assignment capability also...

Re: New mandala announcement
In the announcement they are saying that Mandala surfaces will now be replications of all different acoustic drums made into MDA files containing a ton of samples of those actual acoustic drums so you can make your pad into whatever drum you want. The rims could be samples from those acoustic drum r...

Re: Latency Latency Latency!
Under 'Getting Started (Windows)' in the manual it says: "IF YOU ARE NOT USING AN EXTERNAL AUDIO INTERFACE For best results and lowest latency please download and install the free audio driver called ASIO4ALL" It works great. Latency with ASIO4ALL is as low as when using an expensive audio...

Re: Latency Latency Latency!
You can't use built-in WIndows audio drivers (directsound, mme, etc.) for any pro audio application. They are way too slow. Read the setup section of the manual regarding ASIO4ALL as a driver so your WIndows machine can handle it: http://synesthesiacorp.com/downloads. ASIO4ALL eliminates latency, an...

Re: Mandala To XLR?
If you use the method I described in the last post you can just hit record in your DAW and each of the channels that has an instance of Battery on it will start recording what you play with the Mandalas. You won't have to route anything back to your mixing DAW console because that's where the audio ...
