Re: Virtual Brain not recognizing Mandala Drums

In case you are using an old Mandala v2 (purple rim) with the newest VB then make sure you have run the V2 Converter app on your pad so it is configured properly. Besides that... Do you see white circles appear on the pad in the program when you hit your pad? If NO then: What do you have chosen for ...

Re: Virtual Brain not recognizing Mandala Drums

MIDI Devices Window is for Mac users. You are Windows. You should read the "Getting Started (PC)" section of the manual so you know what you are doing: http://synesthesiacorp.com/Mandala_mk2.9_Manual.pdf

It's step-by-step and it's pretty simple.

You have to set the Ableton track's 'Monitor' to 'In' so you can hear it.

Re: Performing computer less

The iConnectMIDI can "bridge" USB MIDI gear to 5 pin DIN MIDI gear without a computer in between. iConnectivity doesn't make that model anymore but it looks like their new iConnectMIDI4 does the same thing. Here is a thread about the first model with a Mandala: http://synesthesiacorp.com/f...

Re: Loops in VB...

There's an Attack, Hold, Decay setting for every zone of each of your pads in the VB. Your sample playback lengths are dictated by those parameters. Increase the Hold length under the Shape tab for any zone that is getting cut short. The setting is in ms, so for example 1000 = 1s. You'll have to tri...

Re: problem with synapse

I would suggest that you read the short Synapse Manual http://synesthesiacorp.com/Synapse_Manual.pdf. Especially if you say you "haven't a clue how to use" the Setup software. That's why you are having all these issues. Sounds like there is no problem with the Synapse but more of an unders...

Re: Synapse software and connection

You can disconnect the Synapse USB from your Mac then highlight the 'MIDI Device' icon in Audio MIDI Setup and then press delete to get rid of it. Then plug your Synapse USB back in and the 'Synapse' icon will appear.

Re: Synapse and Hi-Hat

You could connect the Roland hat pad pedal output to the HAT or EXP input on the Synapse and split the hat pad outputs into the Kick 1 and Kick 2 inputs on the Synapse (since they are like pad inputs) and then assign the Synapse to the Pad 3 input in the Virtual Brain. There are 6 triggerable zones ...

Re: how to? VB zone auto pan/pitch

All through the Virtual Brain program you will see little rectangular buttons with the letter 'c' in them. Click on those to get to a Controller page for anything the button is on (upper right of each zone dashboard, upper right of each effect panel, etc.). Then in the controller page that pops up y...
