Re: No Luck Getting My Mandala to Work.

Maybe the lugs are a little too tight around the edges. Try loosening them just a little bit.

Re: Virtual Brain as VSTi with Midi Out?

The Mandala pad itself is a standard MIDI controller (no special driver needed) that outputs MIDI notes with velocities for the zones and a 0-127 MIDI continuous controller value from center to edge. That MIDI data can control any VSTi you'd like. No Virtual Brain necessary.

Re: Computerless Mandala + Ext Hardware setup success.

Wow it's good to know what you have done is possible! Thanks for your post. I'm sure you could do some groundbreaking stuff (filter and pitch control, or...?) using the fine resolution MIDI continuous controller signal that the Mandala outputs from center to edge as well as the more quantized trigge...

Re: Mandala Black Beauty snare application

It is very similar to the steps for starting the Virtual Brain program. Once you make sure your pad is connected properly (Audio MIDI Setup [Mac] or Device Manager [PC]) then there is a driver window that you must set up to get going. The settings for that are the same as for the Virtual Brain progr...

Re: mandala and protools

Here are the exact steps I took to get ReWire from the VB to Protools: If you don't have ReWire already installed on your system (but you probably do) then here is a link to that: http://www.propellerheads.se/download/updates_rewire/ Also, if you are using a Mac download and install the Virtual Brai...

Re: trouble producing sound

You may have moved your Virtual Brain program out of the folder it belongs in and therefore it is not properly loading its library of sounds because it can't find them. Put the program back in its folder so that it's next to all its other components like the Scales, Curves and Support folders, etc.

Re: My Old Presets???

The new VB is totally redone with a lot more features and audio pathways so the only way to get old presets into it is to remake them in the new architecture. The old files don't translate into the new program, but all the features are still there, plus a whole lot more.

Re: DTX brain to send midi to VB

If you make your DTX pads output the right MIDI notes you can trigger the zones in the Virtual Brain program. In the VB you have a total of 6 zones x 3 pads = 24 triggerable onscreen zones.) - Connect your DTX MIDI output to your computer using your MIDI->USB cable/interface. - Now in the Virtual Br...

Re: Mandala and Pedals?

Any MIDI controller hooked to your computer (pads, keys, pedals, etc.) can be assigned to a 'Pad' in the Mandala Virtual Brain and trigger the pad zones. I never tried to do the open/closed hi hat thing you were talking about but you can definitely do some tricky stuff with the different MIDI signal...
