Re: Mandala To XLR?
It depends on what audio interface you are using. Most interfaces have multiple outputs numbered 1-10 (or however many it has). In your DAW you would assign each channel that has an instance of Battery VST on it to a different set of outputs. Then connect those outputs from your interface to channel...

Re: Anyone use Mandala live on stage?
If your firewire interface has multiple outputs you can have 2 separate mixes going to different outputs. You could send one mix of the click and your band (including the Mandala software) to the headphone output for yourself and another set of outputs could be assigned just the Mandala software and...

Re: Couple questions after a week with the Mandalas
The velocity tails off toward the outer edge of the pads and so the way to adjust the feel there is with the velocity curve settings in whatever program you are controlling. If it's the Virtual Brain then you can go under the Shape Tab for the edge zone and change the velocity curve or even draw you...

Re: Control burst download?
Control Burst and Control Burst EXP are only for v2.0 Mandalas (purple rims). The EXP version gives you more control over the settings. Here are the download links: Control Burst EXP: Mac: http://synesthesiacorp.com/Mandala_Control_Burst_EXP_Mac.zip PC: http://synesthesiacorp.com/Mandala_Control_Bur...

Re: User sounds don't save
That was a bug that was only around for short time before v3.01 was released. You can either download the fix or download the entire v3.01 program (which has a few other things fixed also). The whole v3.01 program is at: http://synesthesiacorp.com/downloads or the update is these links: Mac http://s...

Re: Volume pedal with synapse
Here's how you can find out if your pedal will work or not: Plug the TRS cable from the Volume pedal Out to the EXP input on the Synapse like you are already doing, and then open up the Synapse setup software. Then go into Raw Mode in the Synapse software (button in bottom right corner) and rock you...

Re: Connect V Drum to the synapse
I adjusted the Sensitivity so the pad triggered soft hits but avoided double triggers. The Strength setting helped set how hard of a hit registered as maximum velocity.

Re: Connect V Drum to the synapse
The two kick inputs on the Synapse are tuned to work for eKick pedals but they will theoretically work if you plug in a standard ePad. In the Synapse Settings you can adjust sensitivity and other parameters for the input you use. I've tried it and it works. Use TRS cables for all inputs to the Synap...

Re: problem with synapse
Just plug your KD-9 into input 1 on the Synapse and start stomping! You'll see the stomp velocity and the note in the meter on the upper right of the Synapse program every time you trigger. Then set the kick to the proper output note to trigger a zone in the VB3 and go from there.

Re: problem with synapse
Regular eKick pedals don't output any signals that Synapse Input 3 (HAT) and Input 4 (EXP) would recognize. eKick output is pretty standardized across the industry from Roland to Yamaha to Alesis to Kat, etc. What pedal are you using? You'll need to get the Synapse set up properly for whatever eKick...
