sounds like there's a wrench in the works. i'd trash the whole folder and reinstall the VB from the DVD.

I'd think maybe capture all the MIDI (notes with velocity and the controller data) coming from the Mandala in a sequencer like Logic and then start looking at things like the MIDI matrix and event list. All the data is there and perhaps a hybrid of some of those windows would be best.

I'd recommend Battery 3. You can set up the matrix in the program to represent Mandalas and their zones. Make each matrix column a specific pad and then each row in the column is a zone on the pad. No you won't experience any delay when hitting the pads even without an audio interface. Just set the Buffer Size as low as possible (without hearing clicks in the audio output) in the Virtual Brain's Audio Driver Window on your Mac.

That's all you need. The MacBook will be plenty powerful enough. You can run the audio directly from the audio output of your MacBook to your PA. Optional things: An external audio interface (M-Audio/Tascam/MOTU, etc.) for your computer so you'd have more professional audio outputs in the form of 1/...

If you have the Trigger button enabled then the LFO waveform will start over every time you strike the drum. If the Trigger button is not enabled then the LFO waveform will go continuously behind the scenes as you play your pad.
