Re: Synapse and samples
You have to set the 'Note' setting under the Tones tab in the Virtual Brain to the same note that your sound is originally sampled at. Otherwise your sample is key following but for the wrong key. Virtual Brain drum and percussion sounds don't follow key but user added sounds and tonal instruments i...

Re: mandala and protools
Are these WIndows 7 64-bit machines? Or 32-bit?
Also, are there any messages in the VB3 under WIndow>Max Window when you choose adRewire as your Driver?

Re: mandala and protools
Are you guys PC or Mac? What OS? Maybe this could get figured out if it is known what things are in common about your computers. Rewire works for me and I'm using a Mac running OSX 10.6.7.

Re: mandala pad not sending data
Tech support has been really helpful (and fast) the few times I've had questions about my pads. You should try them.

Re: Traveling Cases
I've used a Pelican case that allows you to pop out foam squares inside of it to create rectangles that my pads slip right into. It's about as protected as you can get.

Re: beauty works fine but not virtual brain
The Beauty working means your pad is fine and it shouldn't take much to get the VB going. Make sure your pad is showing up as 'MandalaDrum####' in Audio MIDI Setup on your Mac and then open the VB and choose 'MandalaDrum####' as PAD 1 in the Audio/Pad Driver window. You should then see the strikes o...

Re: Rimshot depth
With the Mandala mk2.9 you get a MIDI note (E3) with velocity if you strike the rim and a note (F3) if the surface is pressed while you strike the rim. You also get a MIDI continuous controller value of 127 for those hits because you are all the way to the outer limit of the position sensitive surfa...

Re: No Luck Getting My Mandala to Work.
Sounds like there are 2 things going on here: The first thing is to make sure you didn't move the Mandala Virtual Brain.exe program from the Mandala Virtual Brain folder where it belongs. Maybe you pulled the program out of its folder and put it on your desktop or something? It needs to be in its or...

Re: Drum Zones
That happens in the software you are controlling. In the VB3 you can hit the link buttons between zone dashboards to do it. In Battery you can make C3 and C#3 trigger the same cell for example to combine Mandala Center and Mid-In into one zone. In BFD you can just assign C3 and C#3 to the same sampl...
