New features for Mandala 3.0?

Post by xgironx@yahoo.com »

Hi
I just learned that it will cost $400 to replace the display on my old Roland vStage. Been eager to try Mandala.
As a Mandala noob, I wonder what new features v3 will have over v2.9? Whether I should wait for v3 or just go w v2.9 now
Thanks
Justin

Major V3 features not included in previous versions of any Mandala are: a pressure and position sensitive surface, 9 individual polyphonic rim triggers/pressure controllers, interchangeable output cartridges for future port compatibility and add-on designs, full MIDI output configurability, and a relatively silent playing surface.

Have I mentioned how much I am looking forward to this release! I'm still using my 2.9s at every gig. Can't wait to get my hands on V3!
Then if we could just get DC to release a "Tool Pack" of Battery presets....... Just sayin. :P

DC’s Battery presets are all mapped for a seven Mandala setup. That’s a lot of pads, but there are ways of basically emulating that size Mandala kit on a smaller number of the newest V3’s. Updated pad feel and functionality has turned out even better than we expected, and a lot of hard work is going into making them available asap. Can’t wait for everybody to get their hands on them and start running!
