Virtual Brain as VSTi with Midi Out?

Post by Riley333 »

The Virtual Brian would make an awesome VSTi with MIDI out. Or if you could connect midi from the Stand Alone version and use all the VB midi parameters to controll a VSTi, or DAW effects.
If VB is written in MAX, I'm a bit tridderpated that this is not already done?

Greetings BTW.

The Mandala pad itself is a standard MIDI controller (no special driver needed) that outputs MIDI notes with velocities for the zones and a 0-127 MIDI continuous controller value from center to edge. That MIDI data can control any VSTi you'd like. No Virtual Brain necessary.

Yes, but it only sends 4 fixed notes. Not the scales and all the cool parameters.
I use Max MSP, the program it was created with. I could set it up for midi out it, if they would let me.

I agree, Virtual brain should be a VSTi, it makes the most sense considering that most people use the Mandala with a DAW. I use Virtual Brain as sort of a VSTi via Rewire into Ableton Live 8.
