Mute zone?

I remember having a mute zone on my MK2.9 that I don't think is available on V3. You could press on the head and hit the rim at the same time and that would send a new MIDI note that you could assign to a different sample, like a conga slap.

The mk2.9 offered a total of 6 trigger zones with 'Xstick' being a zone that triggered if the surface was engaged when you hit the rim. Because the V3 is updated to 13 zones (4 surface + 9 rim) the Xstick zone was removed. However, if you are triggering the old Virtual Brain (designed for the mk2.9) with a V3 (by loading V3 Utility preset 'Virtual Brain v3.5' onto a V3) you can still trigger the Xstick sound by hitting rim zone 2 or 8 on the V3. One other note, now that there are 7 additional triggers on the V3 as well as 11 additional controllers there are a lot of ways to set up activation of something like the mk2.9 Xstick functionality (Cell Activation in Battery, Transformers in Logic, M4L devices in Live...).
