I put together a set of instructions for mounting the Mandala drum to a Pearl-style clamp (AX-25L or equivalent). It seems a bit more stable than the cymbal stand option, and doesn't cover the rim like a snare stand does.

Hope this helps some of you out!

Re: Mounting a Mandala to a Pearl-style clamp
This is a big help, and I just happen to have all that stuff including the clamp! THANK YOU!
Re: Mounting a Mandala to a Pearl-style clamp
Mate you're a legend. I will do this for sure.
I have a V1, V2 and now 3 MK2.9's.
I kinda was happy with the 2.0's mounting mechanism as it gave me the best flexibility in my setup... The V1 also mounted fine with a pearl accessory clamp but I was using it with a snare stands. I was a bit thrown off when the 2.9's arrived with no mount option like that because now I have to rethink everything. And Cymbal arms don't feel that stable to me, so I was resigned to buying some more snare style stands. Which ups the hardware to carry around.
Personally it synesthesia gave an option i'd go for the V2.0 style mounts. Perhaps they will as a custom order?

Re: Mounting a Mandala to a Pearl-style clamp
One thing I will suggest have spent some time with these new mounts is to use a thicker tube. The tube from the shower curtain was very thin, and if you clamp it too hard it will deform.
Actually, I think I just found what I was looking for in the first place: metric panel standoffs. Something like this should work even better than what I originally posted: http://www.unicorpinc.com/metric-male_t ... ndoffs.htm

Re: Mounting a Mandala to a Pearl-style clamp
After a few weeks of using this method, I noticed that the tube has started to deform. There are two options here. One is to use a thicker tube. The other is to use a coupling nut. I found that a 7/16"-14 by 1-3/4" coupling nut fits perfectly over an 50 mm long M8 fastener and lines up exactly in the clamp. No measuring, no cutting. The only down side is that you can't spin your Mandala after tightening things down.
As I mentioned before, another option that might work is to use a metric male-female standoff like those found here: http://lyntron.com/catalog/generatepart/B26. This part (or one like it) might need to have its threads trimmed shorter and/or a few washers added, but it also looks like an excellent solution.
