This is really cool, Stuart! I had wanted to achieve the same thing, and set up a slide on/off switch on Ableton, using a macro dial for volume of the effect.

But being able to delay it would be perfect! When you call this a Ableton Rack - is it a Max for Live device, a Midi Effect Rack, Instrument Rack, etc?

Hey, it's a MIDI effect rack I created using Ableton stock devices rather than Max4Live. I had Tobi Hunke (AbletonDrummer) try and build a Max4Live device to do the same thing but we hit a lot of obstacles and had to give up! So instead I figured out a neat way to build this using a combination of stock Ableton MIDI and MPE devices and some clever internal mapping within the rack. Any questions hit me up!
