What does the trigger button do in the LFO menu?

Perhaps it's a silly question, but I can't figure it out, and I can't find it in the manual.

If you have the Trigger button enabled then the LFO waveform will start over every time you strike the drum. If the Trigger button is not enabled then the LFO waveform will go continuously behind the scenes as you play your pad.
