This is an OS file-association issue. What’s actually happening is that when you double-click a .maxpat, your operating system decides which application “owns” that file type.
Since you have a standalone Max application (the Mandala Virtual Brain) installed on your system, your OS may have ...

Re: Connectivity Issues over USB C
The power light being on under a pad means it has gone through a successful USB identification. To troubleshoot in your case, with no pads connected open the MIDI Studio window of Audio MIDI Setup and delete any greyed out icons of 'Mandala_V3'. Then connect one pad at a time directly to a USB port ...

Re: Polyphony/Can't send 2 midi notes at once?
V3 polyphony is 'Any number of rim zones can be triggered simultaneously along with a single surface zone'. Keep in mind though that V3 surface zones (z1-z4) will detect extremely tight flams in order to essentially trigger multiple surface zones simultaneously. Also, Mandala rim zones (r1-r9) are ...

Re: Mandala v2 is not responding
Your v2 pad could be up to 18 years old so this may be a case where it needs a center calibration or is saved with a MIDI output config not recognized by Ableton. You can download the Mandala v2 Virtual Brain v1.6 listed under MANDALA v2 in the Legacy Downloads section at https://mandaladrum.com ...

Re: Utility app only showing one mandala at a time
You could try disconnecting your pads and then using USBDeview to uninstall all inactive entries for your Mandalas and then rebooting to force Windows 10 to create new clean entries for each pad.

Re: Upon turning on V3
What powered hub are you using? Not all hubs are created equally, including individual ports on the hubs themselves. The same goes for the individual USB ports on the computer you are connecting the hub to. Try other port combinations.

Re: Carrying Case?
That looks like it will protect the pads well for short trips. If you ever store them for an extended time in that case you can also insert the round plate sized pieces of foam that were on the surfaces of your pads when they shipped to keep your surfaces nice and flat.

Re: V3 Direct to vdrum module,- no computer!
So, there's nothing from the red light on the bottom of your V3 after about 20 seconds when you connect a USB cable to it from a 5V USB power supply? The light should stay off for about 20 seconds after you connect it and then blink red a couple times and then stay solid red.

Re: V3 Direct to vdrum module,- no computer!
To use the Mandala V3 without connecting it to a computer you would supply power to it with a standard 5V USB power supply (like the one in the link below) using a standard USB cable from that supply to the USB port on the V3. Then you would connect a 5-pin MIDI cable from the V3 to whatever MIDI ...

Re: Pitch ranges
You can make Battery step from cell to cell with each hit by using the Cycle Round Robin function under the Setup tab. Then you'd just put the same sample in each cell, each with its own Tune setting so they are the pre-determined pitches you want to be cycling through as you hit the pad.
